Facts about kitesurfing

How it works

  • Lots of kiters start on the beach with a small two-line trainer kite. It teaches you how to steer.
  • Always kite with a grown-up right beside you.
  • High above your head, a small trainer kite doesn't pull much. Still pulling too hard? Let go!
  • Kiters talk with their hands, because the wind is so noisy.
  • Thumbs up: I'm ready.
  • Tapping your head: I want to land the kite.
