Privacy
In short: we collect as little as possible.
Who we are

Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to see how the website is used: which pages are read, roughly from which country and on which kind of device. Google Analytics places cookies for this. We set it up to be privacy-friendly: Google signals and advertising features are off, the data is kept for 14 months, and we do not use it for advertising or share it for that purpose.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or with Google's opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.
Your opinion on a story
If you fill in the form on a story page, we store what you send: the stars, your text and, only if you fill them in, your first name and your child's name and age. We use it to make the stories better. We only show a review on this site if you tick the box for it, and then with your first name only. We keep feedback for at most two years.
Your e-mail address
We only ask for your e-mail address if you want to hear about new stories. We use it for that alone, until you unsubscribe. If you e-mail us, we use your address and message only to reply.
Hosting
The website and the form are run by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site against abuse. To stop spam we store a scrambled code of your IP address with a form message, which cannot be traced back to you by itself.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Send an e-mail via the contact page. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
